Learning Together In God's World

We show respect by caring for others and our school.
We show hope by believing in ourselves and others.
We show courage by always making the right choice.
We show friendship by working together and including others.

We show honesty by always telling the truth.
We show perseverance by trying our best and never giving up.
We show thankfulness by celebrating how special we are and not taking things for granted.
We show responsibility by keeping ourselves and other safe.

With God's Love at our roots, we nurture and guide every unique individual to grow in a caring and secure Christian environment.

On behalf of the Governors, Staff and children here at St Anne`s CE Lydgate Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our school and thank you for visiting our website.

At St Anne`s we pride ourselves on our warm and friendly atmosphere and hope that new parents and children will soon feel part of our school family.

We have high expectations of behaviour and achievement and the good quality teaching and pastoral care our children receive, regardless of their starting points or abilities, ensures that they have a great beginning to their school career.

It is important to us that the children are happy, enjoy their learning and make the most of all the opportunities we have to offer, both within the school day and through our enrichment activities. We also try to make the most of our outdoor learning environment so that learning is purposeful and linked to children`s own experiences. We offer a wide variety of extra curricular opportunities through our before and after school care club provision and are always happy to create new opportunities in response to children`s interests.

Our curriculum provides our children with a variety of learning experiences and seeks to nurture specific talents and skills. It is our aim to ensure children have deeper understanding of the world, the opportunities that are available in the world of work and time to acquire new skills in an engaging and hands on way. This results in children making good progress whilst also becoming responsible and caring citizens of the future.

We hope that during their time with us your children will become caring, confident, articulate, and inquisitive and endeavour to work in partnership with all parents to achieve this aim.

Please have a look at our weekly newsletter which will keep you informed about forthcoming events, essential information and the exciting activities that have taken place in school. Our class pages also highlight the key aspects of our curriculum from our Reception class through to Y6.

I hope that you enjoy reading about what we have to offer. If you are looking for something in particular and are unable to find it, please contact the school on 0161 770 8661 and we will be happy to answer your questions.

Best Wishes

Jane Fraser
