Below is a letter from 10 Downing Street! It is in response to the children's letters written advising PM Theresa May on why we can be proud of Great Britain and how Great Britain could be further improved. The excitement of the children was fantastic to see and the children can be proud of their efforts.
Welcome to Year 5 -
Below are a selction of letters written by the class in the first week back after half term. The children's letters are their entries into a competition based on improving Great Britain. They have been sent directly to 10 Downing Street and we are awaiting a response.
Year 5 went to Castleshaw to try Slacklining for the first time. It helped the children to consider the view points of Sophie and Matteo, from Rooftoppers. A fun day was had by all and the children had the chance to push the limits of their balancing abilities. The grown ups tried it too and it's harder than it looks!!!
Children were introduced to the main character from our class book (Rooftoppers by Katherine Rundell). Sophie arrrived in a floating cello case, the children's suggestions and reasons as to how and why she arrived in that way were excellent and pleasure to witness.
