The role of The Governing Body
The Governing Body works alongside the Leadership Team in the leadership and management of the school, to provide an independent oversight of the management and operation of the school.
The whole Governing Body meets once per term, to guide the school’s aims and strategies; review performances; consider problems and possible solutions; fulfil statutory obligations and make decisions in the best interests of the school's pupils and staff and the wider community.
All governors are members of various sub committees who meet regularly to review policies, address action plans and keep up to date with local and national issues.
The whole governing body meet several times a year for training and also to discuss any immediate issues that need resolving.
