    Sports Relief Day

    We had lots of fun for Sports Relief Day. We took part in a hula-hoop competition. We did a Joe Wicks HIIT workout. Outside, we ran in a relay and played games as a class.

    A Visit from Greater Manchester Fire Service

    On Thursday, we had a visit from the Greater Manchester Fire Service. The children were able to go inside the fire engine and have a go at using the water hoses. The children were extremely enthusiastic about their visit.

    Our Autumn Walk

    This week, year one have been learning about the changes that the Autumn season brings and noticing how the weather and daylight has changed. Part of our learning involved an Autumn walk around the school grounds to spot the signs of Autumn.

    Relax Kids

    On Thursday, Year One took part in a Relax Kids session. The children danced, stretched, took part in breathing exercises and gave each other peer to peer massages. It was a wonderful session in which everybody left feeling happy, calm and relaxed.

    Today, we arrived to school to find a letter from The Giant asking for our help to make some magic potions. The children have been learning about capacity and measuring liquid in milliliters, so year 1 were able to measure the ingredients carefully using their maths skills.
