We celebrated World Book Day with the theme of ‘Mr and Little Miss’ characters. All the children dressed up in amazing outfits and had a fantastic day swapping books. Here is the picture of our winners.
We went to church on Ash Wednesday and Reverend Pat lead the service. The children found it very interesting. Here are some pictures of the service and of our children receiving the sign of the cross in ashes made from last years palm crosses to mark the event.
Today KS2 became internet legends. We explored the 4 islands of interland and learned how to be sharp, alert, secure, kind and brave online. We had a great assembly are we are all looking forward to exploring interland for ourselves! Take a look at our learning:

National Fitness Week is back! For three days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) the whole school will be participating in 20 minute HIIT sessions led by Joe Wicks in order to promote an active lifestyle. The children will need indoor PE kits and water bottles. We hope to get all children and staff involved. Happy exercising!

Well done to all the children and staff for joining in with our sporting events today. So far we have had a hula hoop competition, Hit session with Joe Wicks and throughout the day different classes and staff will be riding the exercise bike non-stop. Here are some pictures of the day so far.
Due to continued treacherous weather conditions and snow drifts , unfortunately school will be closed tomorrow 2/3/18. The decision has not been taken lightly and we apologise for any inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.
School will be open as usual today. However, please make sure you can pick your children as soon as possible after school so that everyone can get home safely.Please take care travelling as it is very icy.
