Proud Pupils
'Pupils are exceptionally proud of their school. Their behaviour is excellent in classrooms and around the school. Pupils are polite and respectful towards their peers, staff and visitors. The school helps pupils to understand and demonstrate the values of respect and perseverance. Pupils embrace everything that happens in school with ambition and resilience.'
'The opportunities for pupils’ personal development are extensive. Pupils are given meaningful chances to contribute to the school and wider trust development. Pupils take on a vast array of leadership roles, such as school councillors and sports leaders. They also collaborate with pupils from schools across the trust in ‘pupil advisory boards’. This helps pupils to develop skills in communication and leadership and build connections with pupils from diverse cultures and backgrounds.'

At St Anne’s CE Lydgate, pupil leadership is an extremely important part of who we are and what we do. We believe that developing independence and encouraging self-led action plays a vital role in building resilience in our pupils.
Our commitment to leadership provides an aspirational focus for all children. It supports the very positive behaviour we celebrate in school and contributes to the excellent attendance we are proud of.
Pupils begin their formal leadership journey in Year 3 through the Archbishop’s Young Leader Award. In Year 4, they further develop their skills by participating in the Forward as One Trust Primary Qualification for Leadership. These experiences equip our children with confidence, responsibility and a strong sense of service.
