Dear parents and carers,
A virtual friend/avatar, created by Parent Zone, has recently been launched (26th Oct) called Ollee. It can be accessed via the Parent Zone website.
The app is aimed at supporting children with processing feelings and emotions. A helpful feature of the app is it can be used by a parent or child.
Ollee is a digital friend for children aged 8-11 funded by BBC Children in Need’s A Million & Me initiative, which aims to make a difference to children’s emotional wellbeing.
It aims to help children reflect on how they feel and to process their experiences with the support and help of their parents and carers, offering advice and support that they can also store for later.
The resource has been sign posted to school via Oldham Safeguarding network and may be referred to in school in PSHCE lessons to aid children’s learning. Please be aware of the sensitive nature of some of the links (body maturing) and how they may link in to your child’s future learning. The link is provided below:
